UT Southwestern Medical Center contracted Halff to recover previously prepared SUE data and record drawings of water system assets within the project area. The effort included field data verification of the recovered water valves and fire hydrants by using mobile GIS data collection applications. Newly installed water valves and fire hydrants were also field verified and captured as assets within the GIS database. To store the location and description of each water system asset, Halff developed a geodatabase to properly retain that information. Another project scope included creation of a web map to assist with asset management.
